Maharashtrain Mulgi’s Sonali Bendre and Isha Koppikar scorch the Ramp in awe-striking Bridal Attire dressed up as Maharashtrian Warrior Princesses for Fashion Designer Harshita Chatterjee Deshmukh (HCD) at her debut show at Lakme Fashion Week 2013 Winter Festive Season.
Actress Sonali Bendre was a stunning Bride in Red oozing with ethnicity and glory. The Red bridal couture that she wore was intricately woven in Handloom. Maharasthrian Craftmanship gave it a Marathi flavour and the heavily embellished ghagra was a divine look!
Esha Koppikar is all dressed in White with awesome ethnic karigari on neck and a beautifully adorned Peacock embellished belt. The designer has completed her Warrior Princess look with a Jeweled Sword and traditional Nathni as well as Maang-tikka as accessories.
Harshitaa Chatterjee Deshpande is a Women of many hats actress, entrepreneur and fashion designer. Her debut collection at Lakme Fashion Week was about reviving and revisiting the traditional Maharashtrian Hand-loom and Craftsman-ship. With her collection showing the Traditional Maharashtrian Culture, it was little surprise that Actress Sonali Bendre and Isha Koppikar were the Show-stoppers.
